An assignment for Telenor
'#MissionNorway won a Silver award for Best Integrated Campaign at the 2016 Cannes Corporate Awards.
It presents the Telenor Group as it has never been seen before in its home country. And uses Steven van Zandt, E Street legend and star of Norway's favourite TV series 'Lilyhammer', as he's never been seen before.
Here's the 2-minute TV launch commercial that took the country by storm. It introduces Steve's character The Chameleon, sent to investigate strange goings on in Norway by The Global Council, headed by The General, who is played by the one and only Isiah Whitlock Jr. Yep, that's right. Senator Clay Davis from The Wire. Sheeeeeeiiiittt!!!!
The TV commercials followed an unbranded 'teaser' campaign that combined Twitter, Facebook, Outdoor and 5-second TV spots, tickling the curiosity of Norway for a week about the origin and purpose of the mysterious #MissionNorway. The first commercial was quickly followed by a second and third. As well as OOH and a microsite designed to heighten the fun. The campaign uncovered a whole new side to Telenor that the public didn't know existed.
It lifted Telenor's reputation scores to an all-time high in only 3 weeks.
